2 Grammy Nominations for Stranger Things Soundtrack
After years of love-driven dedication to their craft, Moog family members Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein have just been nominated for two Grammy Awards for their work on the Stranger Things soundtrack. We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kyle and Michael, whom we first met years ago when they were mainstays of Austin-based synth haven Switched-On.
Switched-On has been the nexus of the Austin, TX synth community since 2010, with their front counter frequently serving as a place for the local hardware community to gather and exchange new ideas. It was through this electronic watering hole that we first came to know and love Switched-On repair technician Michael Stein and his bandmate Kyle Dixon. Their band S U R V I V E played a Moog showcase at SXSW 2013 and Moogfest 2014, and this week, they visited the Moog Sound Lab to sculpt new sonic worlds and share laughs over Thai food. We’re excited for their newly announced nominations and grateful to celebrate with them at the Moog factory.
